Dashboard
Overview
The Dashboard is the first screen you see after signing in. It gives you a quick summary of your health — recent lab results, active medications, conditions, and upcoming visits — all in one place, pulled from every hospital you have connected.
If you have not connected a hospital yet, the Dashboard will prompt you to go to Settings to connect one first.
Welcome Banner
At the top of the page you will see a personal greeting with your name and the last time your health records were updated.
| Situation | What you see |
|---|---|
| Your records have been synced | "Your records were last synced on [date]" |
| Connected but not yet synced | "Connected — not yet synced" |
| No hospital connected | "No hospital connected — go to Settings to connect your health records" |
Buttons
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Refresh | Pulls the latest records from all your connected hospitals. A spinning indicator shows while it is working. |
| Ask ChartChat | Opens the AI Chat Assistant so you can ask questions about your health. |
Summary Cards
Four cards give you a quick count of key health numbers:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Recent Labs | How many lab results you have. If any are out of range, a warning count is shown. |
| Active Medications | How many active prescriptions you have, and when they were last updated. |
| Active Conditions | How many active conditions you have, including a count of chronic ones. |
| Visits (12 mo.) | How many visits you have had, and the date of your most recent one. |
Health Panels
Below the cards, four panels show the most recent records from each category. Each row has a colored left border showing which hospital the record came from.
Recent Lab Results
Shows your 4 most recent lab tests with the test name, result value, status (Normal / High / Low / Borderline), and date. Click View All → to go to the full Lab Results page.
Active Medications

Active Conditions
Shows your 3 most recent active conditions with the condition name, diagnosed date, and source badge. Click View All → to go to the full Conditions page.
Recent Visits
Shows your 3 most recent visits as a timeline with the date, visit type, provider name, and status. Click View All → to go to the full Visits page.
Refreshing Your Records
When you click Refresh, ChartChat fetches the latest data from all your connected hospitals in the background. You will see one of these notifications when it finishes:
| Result | Notification |
|---|---|
| All hospitals synced successfully | Green — "Your health data has been synced successfully." |
| Some synced, some sessions expired | Yellow — "Some records were updated, but your session with [hospital] has expired. Go to Settings to reconnect." |
| All sessions expired | Orange — "Your session with [hospital] has expired. Go to Settings to reconnect." |
| Something went wrong | Red — "Could not sync health data. Please try again." |
If Something Goes Wrong
If you arrive on the Dashboard after a failed hospital connection attempt, a red message will appear describing the problem. It disappears automatically after you read it.
Empty States
| Panel | Message when empty |
