Signing In & Account Access

Overview​

ChartChat supports several ways to sign in so you can access your health records securely from any device.

Signing In​

  1. Go to https://dev.chartchathealth.com
  2. Choose how you want to sign in:
    • Enter your email and password, then click Sign In
    • Click Sign in with Google to use your Google account
    • Click Sign in with Microsoft to use your Microsoft account
  3. If you have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) turned on, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app
  4. After signing in you will be taken to:
    • The Dashboard — if you have already connected a hospital
    • Settings — if you have not connected a hospital yet

Your session will automatically expire after a period of inactivity. You can set how long in Settings → Session Timeout.

Creating an Account​

Option 1 — Sign in with Google (Recommended)​

  1. Click Sign in with Google on the sign-in page
  2. Choose your Google account
  3. ChartChat creates your account automatically
  4. You are taken to Settings to connect your first hospital

Option 2 — Sign in with Microsoft​

  1. Click Sign in with Microsoft on the sign-in page
  2. Choose your Microsoft account
  3. ChartChat creates your account automatically
  4. You are taken to Settings to connect your first hospital

Option 3 — Email and Password​

  1. Go to https://dev.chartchathealth.com/register
  2. Fill in your first name, last name, email, and a password (at least 8 characters)
  3. Complete the security check
  4. Click Create Account
  5. Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link inside
  6. You will be taken to set your password and then to Settings

If you do not receive the verification email, check your spam folder or request a new one from the sign-in page.

Forgotten Password​

  1. Click Forgot password? on the sign-in page
  2. Enter your registered email address
  3. Complete the security check
  4. Click Send Reset Link
  5. Open the email and click the reset link
  6. Enter your new password
  7. Sign in with your new credentials

Password reset links can only be used once and expire after a short time.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)​

2FA adds a second layer of security. Even if someone gets your password, they cannot sign in without the one-time code from your phone.

Turning 2FA On​

Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Two-Factor Authentication and click Enable 2FA. You will need an authenticator app on your phone (such as Google Authenticator or Authy).

Signing In with 2FA Enabled​

After entering your email and password, you will be asked for a 6-digit code. Open your authenticator app and enter the current code shown for ChartChat.

Turning 2FA Off​

Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Two-Factor Authentication, click Disable 2FA, and enter your current 6-digit code to confirm.

Signing Out​

Click Log Out at the bottom of the left sidebar to sign out immediately. Your session is ended and you are taken back to the sign-in page.

Troubleshooting​
